Not really leaving...

... just creating a special part of this blog. Something like that. This feels special enough to give it its own space for the 2.5 months. By "this" I mean my internship in Ghana. I know I kind of abandoned this blog months ago, but it's probably because my life in Pittsburgh started to feel too normal to blog about. I don't know what the real reason was. I was really busy the last semester, too. And I'm not leaving this blog forever, I might even actually post here from Ghana, who knows, but the main Ghanaian one is gonne be HERE. So check it out if you want. And wish me luck!

20 hours in Brno

For some reason, Brno is the only place where I feel nostalgic. Not always, of course - only when I go back there for the first time after a long time, and when I leave for a long time again.

Today, once again, I felt nostalgic. But I also realized how nice it is to see tall people around again. :) And I walked around Vila Tugendhat for the first time ever, just because I got a little lost on my way "home". By a little I mean walking for about 30 minutes longer than I had to, but it was beautiful 2am, no people anywhere and it was snowing... with Špilberk in the background.

I really like the Christmas Tree on Náměstí Svobody this year - it's not very big but it is very cute.

I saw my tiny little old room and loved the view as much as when I lived there. I got on the night bus without a ticket as always. :-)

I walked to the bus station through Vaňkovka and laughed at the people there we call Vaňkovkáři.

I love that city. I'm gonna miss it. And I'm gonna miss home. Family. Friends. Three days to go and so many things to do and I just feel - as always before leaving - like giving up and staying. I wonder if I'm actually ever gonna give up and stay. :)
